New CD , Polish release

LJ Karwel’s debut album, Cross Out Unnecessary, is a musical journey through the golden era of hip hop – the 1990s – to which the power of the rapper’s contemporary voice adds freshness. Karwel is a diamond discovered by Typ Mes in the province, in Podlasie Mońki. Life has honed this precious stone with hard stories.

Krzysztof "LJ" (pronounced Elliot) Karwel privately worked as an ambulance paramedic, cashier, magazineman, and even an erotic portal administrator. The anecdote therefore has plenty to tell. However, it was the unique flow, unprecedented fluidity in syllabus sharing in Poland and the backlash achieved while working in the studio that made it debut at one of the most interesting independent labels - the Alkopoligamia.com team.

LJ is famous for its pickyness in music selection. To choose bits to adorn with a hit chorus and brazen verses, he rejected hundreds (literally) of productions. A minimum reverberation on a snare drum can disqualify music in the eyes (ears) of a rapper who has carefully studied the albums that inspire him and will not be able to squeeze just any production.

The artist was shaped by US memorial figures such as Redman, Notorious B.I.G. or Eminem. So on 'Clear Out What Is Needed' we have party sticks for libation fans as well as demonic fantasies about suicide. The album is a complete story whose vibe adapts to the seasons of the week, because "working class hero" LJ Karwel knows what frustration is and knows the taste of relaxation after work.

The album was created with the assistance of progressive producer and sound engineer R.A.U., who exposes the rapper to the highest marks for his musical imagination.
