James Harlan Willey was born 10 Nov 1871 in Louisa County, Iowa, and died 19 Apr 1947 in Emmet County,
Iowa. He was the son of William W. Willey & Eliza J. Geddes. His parents came to Iowa from Ohio. He
married Cora Ida Bates (1875-1956) in 1897, at Muscatine, Iowa.
They had three children: James E.,
Claude W., and Marian.
