The manual-adjust stop on the KBT’s brew basket allows you to control the brewing speed or stop it entirely as it flows into the carafe. This brewer is a good option for those who like to be more hands-on with their coffee brewing process and don’t consistently brew a full carafe every day. The borosilicate glass lining of our stainless steel carafe retains heat and keeps your coffee hotter longer.

Golden Cup Standard: The Four T’s
What makes good coffee so good? It comes down to the coffee solubles extracted into your water. The coffee industry has defined scientific benchmarks for perfectly brewed coffee, called the Four T's.
Temperature
A consistent brewing temperature between 196°F - 205°F is essential for the extraction of coffee solubles.
Time
A saturation time of 4-6 minutes releases the full flavor of the coffee without over- or under-extracting it.
Turbulence
Agitation of the coffee grounds generated as the water flows through the grounds creates even saturation.
Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)
This is the ratio of coffee solubles to water that the brewer extracts. The ECBC defines ideal TDS yield as between 18% - 22%, and the SCA refers to this as “the Golden Cup.” Moccamaster coffee brewers hit this mark every brew cycle.

Shipping Method
We reserve the right to use a different shipping carrier (using a comparable service) than what was selected at checkout. Orders will be shipped using our preferred provider and we are unable to accommodate shipping orders on a customer's personal shipping account.

Address Changes

Refused Delivery
If you elect to refuse the delivery of the items you ordered from Seattle Coffee Gear or return items without requesting a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization), a 20% restocking fee plus original shipping charges will be deducted from your refund.

Delivery Policy (Within 5 Days of Delivery)
Please report damaged, missing, defective or malfunctioning merchandise immediately and no later than 5 business days of delivery.
Damaged Merchandise
Items are carefully packaged to protect against damage during shipping. Please thoroughly inspect your package when it arrives for any shipping damage. If an item appears to be damaged, do not attempt to use it and notify us immediately so that we can begin the claims process with the shipping vendor.
Missing Merchandise
Please note that we often ship orders in multiple packages. However, if items are apparently missing from your order, please report it to us immediately so we can track packages and replace the shipment if necessary.
Defective or Malfunctioning New Merchandise
If any item is not working properly or if a consumable item was received expired, please contact us immediately so that we can send a replacement. All replaced items will have a new 5 day return window extended to it, or the remainder of the return window from the original purchase, whichever is longer.
10% Restocking Fee
To receive full credit on your order, all original components must be returned with the order.
If the return arrives in any condition other than the original condition with which the order was shipped we will be forced to charge a 10% restocking fee
A 10% restocking fee will also be applied to all buyers remorse returns that have been opened and used with returns reasons being 'changed my mind' 'just didn't like the item' or 'found a better price'
