The Afghanistan 10,000 Afghanis was issued in 1993 due to inflation that followed after the Soviet invasion. This particular note comes in uncirculated condition. Its obverse features the Masjid-i Jami in Herat which is also known as a Friday Mosque or a congregational mosque. The seal of Da Afghanistan Bank which depicts horsemen, ancient coins, and a cornucopia is also visible on the notes obverse. The reverse is the Arch of Qala-e-Bost in Lashkar Gan. This 171 x 76 mm paper note comes with a solid security thread with printed 10000 and text. When held up to a light source, an image of the bank seal can be seen.
