BEV DOOLITTLE "CHRISTMAS DAY, GIVE OR TAKE A WEEK" EXAMINATION PRINT, 1983, FULL SIZED 18-1/2x19", SIGNED ONLY ON THE ORIGINAL PAINTING, AS THIS WAS ONE OF THE SEVERAL EXAMINATION PROOFS, NOT DESIGNED TO BE SOLD.  COMPLETELY IDENTICAL IN EVERY WAY TO THE 1983 HAND-SIGNED PRODUCTION OFFSET LITHOGRAPHS THAT WERE RELEASED FOR SALE, WITH A FULL 15-1/2x15-1/2" IMAGE AREA, THIS HAS "EXAMINATION PROOF" STAMPED IN THE SNOW, JUST BELOW THE TWO FIGURES (WHICH CAN BE EASILY "WHITED OUT" WITH A BIT OF WHITE PAINT, "WITE-OUT", OR FINGERNAIL POLISH).  

IN MINT CONDITION AND WITH A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL, FULL-COLOR GREENWICH WORKSHOP NEW RELEASE ADVERTISING SHEET (NRS), AND A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT ORDERING TWO COPIES OF THE PRODUCTION PRINTS I SOLD OUT OF DECADES AGO (SEE LAST PHOTOS).  

Given to us new from Greenwich Workshop in 1983, to entice us to order several others for sale. Although never designed to be sold, these "Examination Proofs" are the same size and identical in every respect-- were never framed, and were stored in our darkened warehouse since-- so the prints are still in MINT condition, with Bright, Lustrous, completely UN-faded colors.  

NOTE:  While not Hand-signed and numbered like our other production prints we sold out of, this one is in every other respect identical to them, and SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS CHEAPER than the other listings on EBay, or being sold by Doolittle herself !!  This is also MUCH larger, and much rarer (only a few hundred of these Examination Proofs were produced) than the prints being taken out of her WHERE SILENCE SPEAKS Portfolio (3,500 produced) and sold individually-- at similar prices!
