FAQ

  • Does the towbar come painted? Yes. As standard, it will come with a black, automotive primer or undercoat. We may be able to offer a powder-coated towbar but this is not included as standard.
  • Are your towbars tested to any regulations? Yes, where required. Towbars are tested to EC94/20 or R55.01 unless exempt due to year of registration and/or vehicle type.
  • What do I do if I think I have received the wrong towbar or that I think the towbar does not fit? Check the listing to see if you have ordered and then contact us. All of our designs are proven through many sales and over 40 years of design experience. Unless there is an error, we can help you get your towbar fitted with no problem.
  • My vehicle is on a change-over year. How can I work out which towbar I need? If, for example, you have a 2005 Focus Hatchback, you will notice that there are two possible towbars. The 1999 to 2005 shape and the 2005 to 2011 shape. The best way to work this out is to compare your vehicle to one a few years into either shape. So using a search engine to search for the vehicle and one of these years, in this example I would recommend 2001 and 2008, then view the available images. Compare your vehicle to the results and see which yours is most like. A common thing to check is the light clusters as these vary with most shape changes.
