A medal based on the work of the painter Raphael:
Saint Michael and the Dragon or Saint Michael Slaying the Dragon or The Little Saint Michael is an oil painting (31 × 26 cm) by Raphael, in the period 1503 to 1505, kept in the Louvre Museum, Paris.
On the obverse of the medal:
- "Quis ut Deus" = "Who is like God?", on the turn: "Michael pugnavit cum dragone et fecit victoriam" = "Michael fought the dragon and was the victory"
On the reverse of the medal:
- congregation of the holy angels (The congregation of the holy angels was founded in 1831 in Lons-le-Saunier by Barbe Elise Poux), at the bottom is inscribed the name of the artist L Penin.
