New DVD, Polish release

One of the largest Polish productions in recent years, watched in cinemas by over 1.7 million viewers! 

Jan Komasa's film is a large-scale, universal story about love, as well as courage and sacrifice, set during the Warsaw Uprising.

Stefan (Józef Pawłowski) and Biedronka (Zofia Wichłacz) met in the underground and fell in love at first sight. But they are not allowed to enjoy their first love for long. On August 1, 1944, he and his friends are placed under the command of the charismatic Kobra (Tomasz Schuchardt).

Stefan and Biedronka, as soldiers of one of the bravest units of the uprising, will go through a bloody battle trail, and their feelings will be exposed to the hardest of trials, in the face of the horror and cruelty of war, in the apocalyptic scenery of a burning city.
