Symmetric Sector Antennas

Horn sector antennas are scalar horn antennas with a symmetrical beam pattern radiation and a TwistPortTM (TP) connector. Deployed in the field since 2014, they solve the main weak points of antenna technologies in the main sector and provide excellent noise rejection, network scalability and increased performance.

Approved by tens of thousands of installations around the world, the elements of RF Symmetrical Horn Antennas of TP are the new standard for a fast and sustainable wireless connection.

Single beam performance

Symmetrical Horn TP antennas have a unique shape and beam characteristics. The section of the beam is circular: the azimuth and elevation radiation angles are identical.

Without side lobes

Symmetrical Horn TP antennas do not have side lobes, they literally concentrate the energy in a main signal beam. Such behavior saves the most important resource in wireless technology: The spectrum. Thanks to these unique radiation properties, the radio picks up and propagates significantly less noise compared to the current antennas in the main sector (panel).

The problem of noise is directly related to the side lobes of the antenna, basically an unavoidable characteristic in most of the competing products. Symmetric trumpet horn antennas behave differently, being basically "deaf" outside their main beam.

Bandwidth Performance

The beam pattern does not vary with the frequency and the gain of the antenna is balanced in a very wide frequency range. These characteristics make Symmetrical Horns TP antennas excellent sector antennas.

Excellent gain across the spectrum

Coverage without null points

The antennas of the dominant current sector have a very broad radiation pattern in azimuthal cut but very flat in elevation cut. If an AP is too high, customers who are too close will suffer a low AP signal.

Allow Co-location of channels

Symmetrical Horn TP antennas have naturally attenuated side lobes and extremely low background radiation. Symmetrical Horn TP antennas are perfect for installations of sectors of high density clusters with high co-location requirements. The wide selection of beam angles allows a wide range of deployment scenarios, covering high-distance sectors.

Innovative scalability

Symmetrical Horn TP antennas offer extensive scalability of wireless systems. The unique performance of the beam and the excellent co-location characteristics allow a greater density of sectors than a traditional sector technology.

Symmetrical Horn TP antennas come with precise radiation angles, ranging from 30 to 90 degrees: a wide range of models suitable for any situation.

 TwistPortTM  Connector

Symmetrical Horn TP antennas feature our industry-changing TwistPortTM connector, a fast-lock waveguide port. TwistPortTM is virtually lossless:  built according to our reference design, there are no coaxial RF connectors or RF cables that cause signal loss. The connection of radios is incredibly simple: "turn and block", all done with one hand!

Multiplatform compatibility

Our wide range ofTwistPortTM adapters allow you to connect the most popular connectorized radios from other providers, such as Ubiquiti NetworksTM, MimosaTM, MikroTikTM or Cambium etworksTM, directly to any antenna compatible with TwistPort TM.
