The Panzer VII "Löwe" was already planned back in early 1942 by Krupp.

It should have gotten 120mm frontal armor and a powerful 10.5cm L/70 cannon.

Although planned with number VK70.01 in the 70ton class it would have been nearly 90 tons heavy.

The planned engine from Maybach with 700hp would have given it a maximum speed of 23km/h.

Only conceptual drawings and wooden mock-ups have been produced until the project was cancelled in late 1942.

No real prototype or series vehicle was ever built.
