The sole of the boot uses a dual density compound, one for the rear of the sole, where you need stiffness, for stability on the pegs and one for the front, 

where you need extra flexibility to operate the gears and for when you're off the bike walking. Getting the Forma Ice Pro to fit you is made easy through it's flexible Rachet Closure System. 

As well as regular zip and velcro fasteners, the Forma Ice Pro boot will fit people with large calves, due to the ability to rachet the upper area of the boot until it fits you comfortably.
