This tile was produced by Mintons, a celebrated British firm that operated from 1793 into the mid-20th Century, producing a wide array of highly decorative Staffordshire pottery and floor tiles. The tile depicts Rebecca’s encounter with Eliezer, who was sent by Abraham to find a suitable wife for his son, Isaac. An interesting and scarce piece of British artistic history.
