Bronze metal bond M2-01.
Will last forever, although nothing is forever.
Flat solid block, CBN grains are distributed evenly across the volume of the 3 mm thick stone.

These metal bond CBN stones were manufactured before product lines were named as Premium (metal bond 3 mm), Expert (resin bond 3mm) and Premium Lite (metal bond 1.5 mm),  please review descriptions below.

Preparation
Metal bond stones with grits finer 3 microns either may require preparation (polishing) with SiC powders, or they will be self-polished after sharpening of 30-50 knives. Then they will be  of gold color and work well. The image below shows surface of 0.5/0 stone under microscope, before and after polishing with SiC powders.

Use and cleaning
Use any comfortable oil (baby, olive..) to prevent glazing. If glazed - clean with alcohol and toothbrush.

Maintenance is only needed every year or two.
In 1-2 years you may need to flatten stone: polish it with SiC powders (grain size selection list below), or use Ferric chloride (FeCl, video below):
- 10 mins setting in 25% mixture (25 gr FeCl per 75 gr of water),
- 10 mins polish movements (carefully draw "8") on glass plate.
You may buy 100 gr. FeCl  in grain selection window. I sell it if you buy a stone.

My listings of Poltava sharpening/honing stones (Length x Width x Abrasive Thickness, mm):

Diamond sharpening stones: not recommended for steels with high carbon content, but perform well with hard steels,  like CPM S90V.
CBN sharpening stones: standard for steels.
Combined bond: next generation bond, combines delicacy of resin bond on fine grains, and wear resistance of metal bonds on coarse grain sizes.
Sets: preselected stones to make your choice easier: metal and combined bond sharpening stones on blanks.
Pro 200% - professional stones with concentration 200% (standard stones are 100% concentration), which means higher productivity and longer tool's life.
Economy: cost saving solution for most sharpening applications.
"Pro" and "Economy" are the only nicknames I use for stones and I suppose it's clear why. No pathetic nicknames and brands. Just product as it should be, from trusted Poltava seller.
