Halifax Moors is part of a series of landscape paintings produced using heavy, thick impasto acrylic paint applied with a palette knife.
The composition is minimalist and is based on landscape viewed from a bus window when travelling to an art gallery across the moors to Manchester.
Stylistically the artwork is inspired by Vincent Van Gogh and Welsh painter Kyffin Williams.
Although a winter scene, the warm colour scheme is reminiscent of autumn.
