1953-54 General Mills Wheaties Tin Mini Bicycle License Plate - Iowa

This quality embossed and rolled edge plate is one from a series from the highly successful cereal premium advertising campaign that led to a substantial sales increase for the Wheaties brand. Each U.S. state, and some other countries were represented. The plate colors and dimensions replicated the designs from real plates in use at the time.
