The postage stamp with the nominal value of 230 AMD depicts the animal “Hemiechinus auritus” (Long-eared hedgehog), the postage stamp with the nominal value of 290 AMD depicts the animal “Ommatotriton ophryticus” (Northern Banded Newt).

The animals and flowers depicted on the postage stamps are included in the Red Book of the Republic of Armenia.
