LOUIS FERAUD couture gorgeous black silk satin evening skirt suit. Luminous silk/wool blend satin with black velvet trim and rhinestone pave buttons. Double-breasted jacket features peak lapels that are cut wider and form a semi-portrait collar. Black velvet trim has a hint of military styling. Two velvet trim faux flap pockets in front. Sleeves feature a single rhinestone pave button closure. Jacket has shoulder pads and is fully lined in Louis Feraud logo embossed viscose. Pencil skirt has a flat front, back zip to logo button closure and a single vent.
The sheen of this suit makes it look a bit blue in my photos, but this suit is a rich BLACK silk satin.
Material: 70% silk, 30% wool. Velvet trim on jacket is 100% cotton velvet. Lining is 100% viscose.
Size: U.S. Size 6, German 36, UK 10, French 38
Bust: 17" across measured closed, flat, from underarm seam to underarm seam
Sleeve: 23" from shoulder seam to end of sleeve
Length: 28" from top of shoulder to bottom of jacket, measured down the front
Skirt: Flat waist is 13.5" across measured flat
Length: 24" from top of waist to bottom edge.
Condition: Excellent, pre-owned, vintage condition. There are light areas of normal wear on the fabric - no pulls, stains, tears, or issues, but normal texture wear from buttoning, etc. I used floodlights to pull up the texture wear in stark lighting so it would show. See the last two pictures. These are normal, light texture wear. (The only way to avoid them with silk satin is to buy brand new or only put your clothing on while wearing cloth gloves. Seriously).
