New DVD, Polish release   

Grzegorz Przemyk, the son of an opposition poet, is arrested and beaten to death by the police. The only witness to the incident is his colleague, Jurek, who decides to testify against the officers. Initially, the state apparatus downplays the matter. However, when over 20,000 people march through the streets of Warsaw behind Przemyk's coffin, the authorities decide to use all available tools. Operation "Junior" begins, the aim of which is to stop Jurek from revealing the truth.

 

The film was based on the report by Cezary Łazarewicz, "Let there be no traces." The case of Grzegorz Przemyk ”. The director is Jan P. Matuszyński - the creator of the world-wide award-winning "Last Family" and the series "Król".

 

"Let there be no traces" became the Polish candidate for Oscar® 2021. The premiere of the film took place during the Venice Film Festival and since then it has won a number of Polish and international awards, including the Silver Lions in Gdynia, awards for the best film, directing and audience awards in Cottbus, Prague and Arras.
