One of our best-selling PAT testers, the UNI-T UT528 is highly popular due to its easy-to-use interface, ability to test all appliances and portable, battery-powered design.

Highly recommended for use by those new to PAT testing, or for smaller business and offices including charities, landlords and smaller retail outlets, the UT528 is incredibly easy to use, even for a complete beginner to PAT testing. The tester features just three buttons, each clearly labelled for a type of appliance. All you need to do to test is connect the included test leads to your tester and the appliance, then press the button to test.

UNI-T UT528 PAT Tester Details

The UT528 is what's known as a 'manual' PAT tester - it doesn't include memory storage and there's no way to store your testing results other than jotting them down yourself. If you have a larger amount of appliances to test, we'd recommend upgraded to a downloadable PAT tester instead.

Full Test Result Display

The UNI-T UT528 is actually the upgraded version of the UT527 PAT tester.

Although basically identical in testing functionality, the main difference between the UT528 and the UT527 is that the UT528 will show full testing results. In comparison, the UT527 simply shows if a test has passed/failed, and won't give you any testing values.

As the UT528 shows full results, this tester is better suited for keeping detailed records of the current state of your appliances. You should jot down all results in a PAT testing logbook or similar document to keep track of everything.

The UT528 will also still show a PASS/FAIL indicator, depending on the status of the test.
