New CD, Polish stickers

They don't show their faces, we don't know who they are, they can't be recognized at concerts. The most mysterious band in Poland returns with their fourth, long-awaited album, "Blood Moon".

In the summer of 2019, BOKKA asked her friend  director and screenwriter Dorota Piskor for writing an outline of the script that would inspire the band to create their fourth album. This is how the idea of "Blood Moon" was born, taking you on a fictional journey to the end of the world, which, according to many legends and beliefs, was to occur during the phenomenon called "blood moon".

The film atmosphere has moved the artists to areas where they have never been before as BOKKA. The team decided to use unusual means of expression, using, among others, from orchestral and symphonic sounds. Not only strings became close to them, but also flutes, clarinets, oboes and bassoons. Vocals are not only at the front, they also weave carpets in the instrumental layer. This is due to many hours of sampling various sounds that can be produced by a human being.

Blood Moon has a different melody than before with BOKKA, as well as an unhurried pace and narration. The heroes of this story, in the face of the impending cataclysm, remain absorbed in private emotions, dilemmas, vain decisions and considerations about the meaning of existence.

The album was supervised by the renowned producer Bogdan Kondracki, responsible for the successes of many Polish artists, incl. Dawid Podsiadło, Ania Dąbrowska or Monika Brodka. Jakub Guzik is responsible for the visual concept of the publishing house.

The formation appeared on the music market in 2013 thanks to their debut album simply entitled "BOKKA". The debut had wide coverage in the media not only in Poland (Gazeta Wyborcza, Rzeczpospolita, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, KMag, Elle, Onet, Internet and many others),  but also abroad (Pitchfork). The album's success resulted in an intense tour, and tickets for all concerts were sold out. The second album "Don't Kiss and Tell" was released in 2015. From the beginning of its activity, the band played concerts both in Poland and abroad. BOKKA has performed on the stage of such prestigious festivals as Open'er, Tauron Nowa Muzyka, Audioriver, The Great Escape (UK), Reeperbahn Festival (DE), Orange Warsaw Festival, Colors of Ostrava (CZ), Positivus Festival (LV), Grape Festival (SK) and Eurosonic Noorderslag (NL). In 2018, the third studio album of the band "LIFE ON PLANET B" was released.
