The Story Behind the Print:

Flowing from its headwaters in the Bitterroot Mountains, the South Fork of the Clearwater River in northern Idaho boasts some of the largest Steelhead trout in the lower 48. Starting each July, these fish begin a 500-mile journey from the Pacific Ocean through the maze of dams along the Columbia and Snake Rivers, eventually reaching their winter home redds in the Clearwater. Known as "B" Run Steelhead, these colossal powerhouses are much larger than their summer "A" run cousins and spend two years at sea, averaging 12-20 pounds and reaching nearly 40 inches.
