This blue and yellow 1978 20 Kenyan shilling is part of the family of banknotes that were withdrawn after a few months of its release due to Mzee Jomo Kenyattas death. The front side depicts Kenyattas profile on the left and the Coat of Arms of Kenya on the center. The reverse side showcases a pride of six lions in the savannah with Mount Kenya in the backdrop. The note has a solid security thread and a lion head watermark. Its dimensions are 146 mm x 75 mm.
