About True Iceland Moss (Cetraria Islandica):

Islandic Moss is often of a pale chestnut color, but varies considerably, being sometimes almost entirely greyish-white.
Iceland moss is rich in calcium, iodine, potassium , phosphorous, and vitamins.
The acids in Iceland moss have an antibiotic effect. It is a mild antimicrobial and a demulcent — a remedy that soothes irritated or inflamed mucous membranes.

How to use/consume Dried Iceland Moss?

Tea / Infusion Recipe 1:
1tbsp herb is boiled with 250 ml of water for 5 minutes. After cooling, strain, drink 1-2 tbsp. 4-6 times a day, preferably before meals.

Tea / Infusion Recipe 1:
1 tablespoon of lichen is boiled in 400 ml of water for 5 minutes. The strained decoction is drunk in 75 ml portions before meals 4 times a day.

Tea Recipe:
Iceland moss tea is made by pouring 1 cup of boiling water over 1–2 tsp of fine chopped/cut Iceland moss. Covered and steep for 10–15 minutes.
Sweetener can be added to the tea, or the herb can be mixed with cocoa or chocolate. 

Decoction Recipe:
An Iceland moss decoction can be made by putting 2 tsp of shredded lichen in 2 cups of cold water. The mixture is simmered for 10 minutes. It is then strained to squeeze out the juice. One cup of the decoction is consumed in the morning and another at night.

Tincture:
Preparation as tincture 1:5 .

Externally:
Iceland moss can be used topically for skin rashes, wounds and fungus.

NOTE:
> Do NOT overdose and/or use excessive.
> Do NOT take in stomach or intestinal ulcers.
> Herb bitterness possible in breast milk.

Recommended daily dosage:

1 - 4 cups of tea per day.
The average daily dosage of Iceland moss is 1–3 tsp.
