The Saudi Arabia 1 Riyal is a light green-colored banknote that measures 133 x 63 mm. It comes from the 2007-2016 series that introduced a 6-digit serial number and a 3-digit numeric prefix that starts with 001 onwards. As with other denominations, this banknote features Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the sixth King of Saudi Arabia, on the obverse side. Particular to this denomination is the image of the Amawi gold dinar, the first Islamic coin that dates back to the 7th-century. Meanwhile, the back side features the national emblem and the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) headquarters.
