5 page photo illustrated article from a very rare 1899 Victorian periodical - the article is entitled "The Toy Armies of the World" by M Dinorben Griffith

Very rare and interesting old article discussing the history and manufacture of toy soldiers with mentions/details of Britains factory in North London and the visit of the author to the tin army factory of M. Russelet Duprien at Montreuil near Paris

Illustrated with several photographs of lead soldiers including -

The Royal Horse Artillery

The Horse Guards in Whitehall

The French in Berlin

The Camel Corps

 A pitched battle

Mule battery going through the Khyber pass

CONDITION / DETAILS - Excellent clean pages. I do have another damaged article currently on ebay as well - price of each reflect condition and rarity

Please note this listing is for genuine actual pages extracted from a scarce disbound publication, there are no covers and article includes extracts of another non related article to back.page. Article pages are stained to top corners, this does not affect the legibility of the text but text is included in the stained areas The pages seem to be out of line with borders so have probably been badly cut at binding stage. There is a very smal area missing to bottom corner of front page which does not affect the text at all. A very rare item even in this condition.
