One of our most popular frames in our range. Simple, classical and will go with anything, this black frame is our "go to" and is simple in shape and design. It is a very simply a black frame with a slight wood grain effect. Included with the frame is an acid free mount to enhance the appearance of your art. Get creative by selecting which mount colour will work best with your frame and decor. All our mounts are machine cut and our frames are hand-made by our in house picture framer using UK sourced materials
To ensure safe delivery this frame is provided with a high quality plastic glazing which is indistinguishable from glass. This helps hanging weight, safety and prevents breakages.

Frame Specifications: The frame is 20mm wide by 16mm deep overall. It’s made from a high quality recycled polystyrene plastic which is recyclable, sustainable and modern framing material. You can’t tell the difference to a wooden counterpart in its finish.
Which way can I hang it? Hanging requires the black clip to be slid off and moved to the hanging side.
Which size? You can add your art without the need of a mount but check the size you require with the overall frame size and NOT the mount size. For example - if your artwork is 8x6 inches, you will either require a frame of 8x6 inches (no mount) or a frame 10x8 (overall size) with a mount for an 8x6 if you wish for a border.
How to display? Included is also a black hanger which allows for the frame to be hung over a nail or alternative (not supplied).
Why a mount? a mount will allow the photograph not to touch the glass which could cause it to stick over time. Mounts also add to the appeal and decoration, often enhancing its appearance. The trade off is often the size of frame required is larger and therefore more expensive.
How do I add my artwork or photograph? Simply lift the black flexible tabs on the reverse to remove the backboard, add your artwork and then reverse the process ensuring all the black tabs are placed downwards. If you wish for a mount in your frame we would recommend using an acid free tape to hold your artwork in place. You can use any tape you wish, but overtime an acid free based tape will reduce damage to your prints.
