This semi-upright growing species (see photos) has a habit of growing new deep red-purple pads in the springtime that will turn green in summertime, also displays a little bit of red-purple tinge in the older pads, caused by colder temperatures. The flowers are yellow.
I will be sending the mature pads, so that they will sprout roots and start growing much sooner than the immature pads. New pads will emerge in the springtime after it has sufficient roots to support the water and nutrient needs of the new plant. 
Hardiness is down to zone 9A; 20°F; -6.6°C
The Pad measures an average of 5-7 inches long by 4-6 inches wide. Shipping to USA mainland only.

It is generally a good practice to let the cut part callous over in ambient or dappled/screened sunlight for 7 to 10 Days before placing it in the soil. The callous helps in blocking out any possible pathogens or antigens from entering the cactus pad.
