Hawthorne "Courthouse on the Green" Colonial Village Model Handpainted, Numbered.

This model is part of Hawthorne’s “Strolling Through Colonial America” series. It is numbered and signed on the bottom; although it is faded from age and wear, it is still legible. See pics. I was very tempted to wash the bottom with a damp cloth, but am afraid it would remove important information that is now still faintly visible, so I will leave that to the new owner.

The model is heavy - it weighs a tad over 1.5 lbs by itself. It is 3.75” wide and 5” long.

There are 2 small chips in it; one behind the roof pediment that is visible more from the back than from the front; see pics. The other chip is on the bench out front - one side rail is missing. Others, the model is intact and in good condition.

The second floor door is purposely slightly ajar and the British flag flies proudly from it.
