LARGE GLASS CRYSTAL CERAMIC
in BACCARAT CRYSTAL
Period RESTORATION - CHARLES X
"SAINT JOSEPH"
Large stemmed glass in crystal from the Charles X Restoration period, probably from the Queen's crystal factory, taken over jointly by Baccarat and Saint-Louis. It is made of a dark and thick crystal characteristic of this period.
Flared in shape, it rests on a hexagonal foot, with a very short hexagonal leg connecting the chalice.
A white crystal-ceramic representing Saint Joseph is included in the material at the top of one of the wide sides of the chalice. This crystal-ceramic is named in blue under the bust "St Joseph" (see photo 2)
the measures are as follows:
height of the glass: 12.2 cm for a diameter of 9 cm at the rim.
the base measure approximately 7.3 cm between opposite points.
To report only inevitable micro-scratches under the base, at the level of the laying circle (see last photo). That's all.
