The RAF Lancaster “S for Sugar” is shown after her 95th mission on a factory in Schweinfurt, taxing into an RAF Base, with other Lancasters following. It is April 27th, 1944, early in the morning. After a total of 137 missions against the enemies of WWII, “S for Sugar” ended the war with numerous battle scars. However, she played an important role in helping win an Allied Victories within the European Theatre. Signed by five RAF members in addition to Artist Robert Taylor, this limited edition fine art print from the Band of Brothers Portfolio makes an exquisite centerpiece for any WWII enthusiast.

About the Artist:

The name Robert Taylor has been synonymous with aviation art over a quarter of a century. His paintings of aircraft, more than those of any other artist, have helped popularize a genre which at the start of this remarkable artist's career had little recognition in the world of fine art.
