6 hours and 45 minutes, the Tour de Steamboat is an amazing 110 mile workout journey that begins and ends in beautiful Steamboat Colorado. Not only is the video footage stunning, but the helpful narratives includes insights on training, cycling in Colorado, and preparing for a long day in the saddle.
Stage 1 – 1 hour 50 minutes from Steamboat Springs and up to the summit of Rabbit Ears Pass. 18 miles and 3500 feet of climbing.
Stage 2 – 50 minutes from the Rabbit Ears summit descending to our first rest stop. 18 miles.
Stage 3 – 1 hour 30 minutes from our rest area, we’ll climb another 2000 feet up the Gore Pass to our rest and lunch stop. 16.7 miles, 2000 feet climbed.
Stage 4 – 1 hour from our lunch stop and across the beautiful Gore Range to the next, and final rest at the base of the range and entry to Yampa Valley. 16.6 miles with a 600 foot climb.
Stage 5 – 1 hour 48 minutes through the scenic Yampa Valley back to Steamboat. 39 miles of rolling terrain with a headwind.
