We suggest you confirm which grit diamond grinding bit is suitable for grinding your gemstone firstly. The diamond grit type is finer, diamond grinding disc will be used in shorter time. 

If you use a finer grit diamond grinding bit to grinding materials: such as gemstone and glass, the surface of the grinded material will be smoother.

Please remember to continue adding water when grinding, because water is required to cool and lubricate when grinding process.

If there is not enough water to cool, the diamond at the surface of the grinding disc will quickly wear off because of high temperature.
