Luxurious ballerina from the German porcelain manufactory Hutschenreuther - Lorenz Hutschenreuther Kunstabteilung.
The Hutschenreuther Company was founded in 1814 by C.M. Hutschenreuther (1794-1845) in Bavaria, Germany. In 1857 his son, Lorenz, established a porcelain factory in Selb. The companies expanded from 1902 to 1969 and during 2000 the company became a part of the Rosenthal group.
The sculptor conveyed magnificent plasticity, the grace of a ballerina, beautiful facial features.
The model was designed by Hans Achtziger who was the director of Hutschenreuther AG from 1961-1964 and later on headed the forms studio.
Perfect condition. A clean piece is free of cracks, chips, hairlines, fleabites, stains or restoration. Beautiful and rare.
Stamped with the Hutschenreuther green backstamp; painter's initials "WE" and impressed "Achtziger".
