This uncirculated 100 Kenyan shilling note is part of the 2003-2010 family of banknotes issued by the Central Bank of Kenya that features the old portrait of the first Kenyan president, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, on the front side. Aside from the former presidents portrait, the front side of this note also contains the Coat of Arms of Kenya, Mount Kenya, and a lion head. The backside of the note features a different view of Mount Kenya, coffee berries, and a statue of a seated Kenyatta with the Kenyatta International Conference Center in Nairobi in the background. The note has a windowed security thread with demetalized CBK 100, an elephant registration device, a watermark of a lion head with electrotype 100, and Cornerstones.
