This is a Danish history book that provides illustrations and biographies on 44 prominent men and women from Danish history. Biographies include information on Christian V of Denmark, who served as the king of Denmark and Norway, Dronning Juliane Marie, the queen of Denmark known as Juliana Maria of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, and statesman and historian One Hoegh-Guldberg. There are also biographies on Niels Juel, a Danish admiral, Karen Brahe, a Danish aristocrat and book collector, and Peder Griffenfeld, a de facto leader of the dual-kingdom of Denmark-Norway. Griffenfeld would later be arrested for treason, which has been agreed upon by many historians as a false accusation, and spent twenty-two years in prison. The spine and cover wear could provide potential opportunities for restoration, if desired by the buyer.
