The Bit Commander is a monophonic analog guitar synth pedal that outputs square wave vintage synth tones. The Bit Commander generates only simple octave sounds with no added synth controls such as envelopes or oscillators. Intense sub-octaves, pulsing octaves down, the original sound converted to square waves, and a pressurized-like octave-up sound all blend together to transform the guitar sound into the sound of an old analog synth with four octave voices.

As with most octave effects, using the Bit Commander requires a bit of finesse. Use the front (neck) pickup and play single notes above the 7th fret; it can track below the 7th fret, but can sometimes make noise. As with any octaver, the lower the octave, the worse the tracking. This is not a flaw of Bit Commander, but a point common to all analog octave effects. The Bit Commander is an analog effector. (True bypass specification) Each one is handmade and manufactured in Ohio/USA.

Adjusts the volume 2 octaves down.

● Down 1
Adjusts the volume one octave down.

● Up 1
Adjusts the volume one octave up.

●Base
Adjusts the level of the input signal.

● Level
Adjusts the final volume.

● Filter
This is a tone control. Clockwise adjustment gives a stronger high frequency range, while counterclockwise gives a warmer tone.

● Footswitch
This is the on/off switch for the effect. (True bypass specification)

Power supply: Powered by a standard center-minus 2.1mm barrel type DC9V adapter.
Batteries are not available. We do not recommend using a multi-plug cable to supply power that splits the current.
Adapters should be used for instruments. Also, do not use a voltage exceeding 9V.
