The Libya 1 Dinar Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Libya in 2002. The banknote has a color combination of light blue, orange, green, and purple. On its obverse is a portrait of Muammar Qaddafi. The reverse depicts the coat of arms of Libya and the Mawlai Muhammad mosque in Tripoli. The note contains a solid security thread with demetallized Arabic text. It also has a watermark that reveals the coat of arms. The note is 162 x 81 mm in size. This banknote has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
