This 50 Israeli new shekel note is dated 2014 and signed by Bank of Israel Governor Dr. Karnit Flug. It is a green note that measures 136 mm x 71 mm. Its obverse side contains Hebrew text, an open book in gold-to-green SPARK feature, citrus trees and fruit, a portrait of the poet Shaul Tchernichovsky, and the micro print of the poem “Oh My Land, My Homeland”. Its reverse side shows the capital of the Corinthian column. Security features include a menorah registration device, a Kinegram Volume holographic stripe, a color-changing windowed security thread with demetalized 50 and the portrait of Shaul Tchernichovsky, and a watermark of Shaul Tchernichovsky with an electrotype 50. It is also a gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average centering. Thus, it is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
