Following Japans surrender on August 15, 1945, the British Military Administration in Hong Kong resumed the issue of this Hong Kong 1 Cent banknote featuring a portrait of King George VI on the front design. The reverse side of the note is a blank space. It measures 89 x 41 mm and does not contain any security threads nor watermarks. This particular banknote has been given a grade of 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
