Inspired by the Hasbro board game and the film produced by Universal Pictures, Battleship stages an expansive battle by land and sea against a mysterious alien threat, set in the Hawaiian archipelago. The video game combines naval warfare and first-person action, with land and sea conflicts. The protagonist of the story is the demolition specialist Cole Mathis who finds himself trapped in the collision zone of the Hawaiian archipelago with an "aquatic extraterrestrial danger". Trapped in a dead zone, where no contact or communication is possible, Mathis must command the US Navy fleet in a "siege on the sea" and at the same time gather the ground troops for a terrifying "war on the shore". In a mix of naval strategy simulation and first-person action, players are called upon to push the enemy back to the coasts and at the same time launch attacks against their enemies at sea and have the possibility to immediately switch from the real action. and their own on the battlefield to view the command map of the battle itself
