This is a resolution from the County of Wayne, Michigan honoring Al Kaline on the announcement of his retirement from baseball. This was presented personally to the Detroit Tigers and MLB Hall of Famer in October 1974, and was kept in his possession until his passing. The document includes the official letterhead and  seal of Wayne County and was signed by the Chairman of the Board and Commissioner of District 23.

The document itself measures 11x14 and is in excellent condition. It is contained in a plain manilla folder which is where Kaline kept it.
