Title: Tabula Asiae VIII.

16th century ancient map of Schythia, and the Anthropophagi region, Central Asia showing India, Tartarie, Tibet, Kyrgyzstan and China.

The map first appeared in the 1561 edition of Ruscelli's edition of Ptolemy's Geografia.The present example is the scarce third state of hte map, which adds the sailing ship.
