 Tabula Asiae I.

16th century ancient map of Asia Minor including the Bosphorus and parts of Crete, Cyprus, Syria and Armenia.

The map first appeared in the 1561 edition of Ruscelli's edition of Ptolemy's Geografia.The present example is the scarce third state of hte map, which adds the sailing ship.
