These images begin as photographs taken with Polaroid Time Zero film.  Because the emulsion of the film does not harden immediately after exposure, the Artist (Carol J Heer lives in Missoula Montana and is a graduate of the Rocky Mountain School of Photography) is able to alter the image as it develops to achieve a painterly, impressionistic quality.  The images were photographed with an SX70 camera (no longer manufactured), hand manipolated, enlarged, and printed on a professional Epson 3000 printer with archival dye-based inks.
