In good condition. A lovely set beautifully bound in sturdy vellum bindings. Foxing and light discoloration to surface of each board. Red morocco spine labels are chipping along edges. Volume four missing top label. Light scuffing overall to boards. Blue decorative end papers lightly toned with some tenderness to front gutters. Light toning and foxing to end papers in each volume. Moderate foxing to fore edges of each volume. Does not permeate main text. Textblock mostly bright. Tissue guards have light foxing, but all seem to be intact. Free of known markings. All bindings tight and intact. Please see photos.

A beautiful vellum set of Cervantes’ founding work of Western literature. It is often labeled as the first modern novel and one of the greatest ever written. Don Quixote is also one of the most-translated books in the world. Great pull-page illustrations throughout and printed in its native Spanish. Perfect for study or for a collector of Cervantes.
