What do I see before me? A lipped wide neck with visible striations where it was pulled to shape. The standard etched 'Pall Mall' scrollwork decorative midriff band (quite wobbly and even a bit hit and miss in places) = the interlocking circles followed by 2 lines, hanging flowers then in reverse, repeated lines with the loops again beneath. There are at least 2 bits of frit which can be seen without help. One larger bubble about a centimetre up from the foot and one or two inside the foot. The foot is about 74mm across, with polished pontil and domes up inside the base of the bowl - as though it was squashed flat into the sturdy shape it needs to be fit for purpose - easy to grab, use and return - when full, it would take quite a knock before tipping over. Sitting marks here and there. Capacity? I haven't measured as I can't face the rigmarole of drying it off again in this hard water area. It must hold a bottle or less - enough for a guest to drink in an evening. The more I study it, the more I love. If you know more, please share but it's certainly pre-dates the Woolworths production lines! Thanks for looking and any questions, please ask
