This is a 4-tiered jubako box from the long-established Omukai Koshudo in Noto Wajima, which seems to be a Showa era item.
Although lacquer ware is relatively expensive in recent years, the number of lacquer ware that uses foreign materials has increased.
This is Omukai Takasu-do, which uses domestic lacquer for precious and expensive domestic wood.
In addition, fern pattern deposits engraved on the entire surface without gaps are rare. The brilliance of lacquer ware is unique to lacquer ware

A trolley and black lacquer are hung on the solid wood of Wajima, and a craftsman's chisel is sprinkled on it to complete a lofty fern pattern. It is said that carving on the wood when it is sufficiently finished is a serious game, and you can feel the tension of the extraordinary craftsman and the alternative technique. As expected! I have to take off my hat for craftsmanship.
It feels good, is glossy, and has no usability, so it seems to be an almost unused storage item.
