I will produce-- especially for you-- a unique, single-edition, custom dial card for your vintage rotary AUTOMATIC ELECTRIC phone. Your dial card will be printed to order on medium card stock which has been repurposed from vintage print media. This card will be cut to the unique shape of AE telephone dial card and is meant to fit only this manufacturer of phone finger wheels--see my other listings for Western Electric, ITT, SC type finger wheels if that is what you need. Faded black and off white sepia tone will be used to give your card an aged appearance using fonts that replicate a vintage dial card look from the 1940 -60's specifically in the style that fit Automatic Electric phones of that era --- prior to the use of area codes, when exchange names were routinely part of every phone number. I am happy to send multiples of the exact same design and exact same custom phone number at a discount when specified at the time of your initial order using the discount button. Please see my other listings: I have four different styles of custom AE dial cards available for phones from different eras and can also cut this design to a round 1.5 inches to fit Western Electric finger wheels from the same vintage.

I will supply with your card a scanned instruction page describing the process for removing and installing an AE dial card as well as a small plastic tool to remove and install such cards.

Under the exchange system, the first two numbers were represented by the first two letters of a word. Automatic Electric dial cards typically used the full exchange name followed by the last five numbers (which were hand applied in the field) to make up a unique seven digit phone number. Here is a list of actual exchanges:

The diameter of your card will be 1.6 inches with notching on all sides specific for Automatic Electric finger wheels with this shape prior to the late 1960's when Automatic Electric adopted a 1.5 inch Western Electric type finger wheel. The dial, acetate cover, and dial card retainer parts are NOT included in this auction which is for one custom card only. Please specify what you would like printed in a message to me with your order. I will send a screen shot for proofing before I mail your actual card with FREE domestic shipping in a regular US mail envelope.

Here are some recommendations for choice of letters and numbers:
1. Your actual seven digit phone number without area code using the exchanges above.
2. A phone number from pop-culture. ie: Desi and Lucy's (pictured), Butterfield-8, or 867-5309 (jenny's)
3. The card listing the color of your special vintage phone and date of production. ie: Mahogany 3-1955
4. Your street address.
5. Someone's name and birthday.
6. Whatever else you can think of.... but I reserve the right to cancel your order if I do want to produce it (political or hate speech etc.)

Please see the pictures and ask any questions before purchase. NC or your states sales tax may be added.

We pack up an mail items on Fridays and Saturdays. Depending on timing of purchase and your payment, handling time will be 1 to 10 days
