The G-AC-BASS from GrassRoots is now available in a fretless version that allows you to enjoy an acoustic-like sound with ease.

The G-AC-BASS uses the same manufacturing method as the G-AC guitar, with a hollowed-out mahogany veneer body and a spruce laminate on the top. The neck is mahogany, the fingerboard is Perferro, and the scale is about 753mm, slightly shorter than the short scale. Since this is a fretless instrument, it is not fretted, and there are lines indicating the fret positions where the frets are usually located. By pressing down on this line, you can keep the pitch at the same position as when fretted. In addition, the fingerboard is painted to prevent wear by the strings.

A single coil size pickup is mounted between the fingerboard and soundhole, and the controls are located on the body side on the 4th string side. Strings are stretched from the back of the body, and the body wood is left under the bridge to ensure strength, which is safe even for basses with strong string tension. A finger rest, useful for fingerstyle picking, is also included as standard equipment.
