This is a Japanese-language art history book on the ancient art of Afghanistan. It was written by Japanese archaeologist, Seiichi Mizuno. Mizuno also published works on Asuka Buddhist Art, Buddhist cave-temples, bronze and jade in Ancient China, and many other archaeological surveys. The photographs display the influence of Greco-Buddhist art, as Afghanistan was the center of the Greco-Bactrian Kingdom.
